Making a Booking

Call, leave a message, email Simon or fill in the contact page enquiry form on this website to find out if Simon has an available date and time for you.

Once you have agreed a date and time with Simon he will email you a PDF of your confirmed booking (keep/print for your records) which will have a link in it for you to click. Clicking this will give us your consent that you are happy to proceed.  Your invoice will follow some time after the booking but before the event date.

Deposits

A small non refundable deposit will be agreed and required to secure a booking. The remaining balance of the fee will paid on the day of the event.

Method of Payment

We accept all major debit/credit cards for deposits and the remainder of the payable balance can be made by bank transfer or card terminal at the event. No cash please!

Cancellations

All deposits are non refundable. You may cancel up to 30 days prior to the event free of charge. All cancellations made 29-15 days prior to the event are subject to 50% of the remaining balance to be paid. All cancellations made less than 15 days prior to the event are subject to 100% of the fee being paid as this will not leave adequate time for us to refill the booking slot you have been granted and will have turned alternative work away as a result.                                       In the event of the fee not being paid legal action may be taken.              Cancellations are only accepted by phone.  Voice messages and emails are not accepted.  Contact Simon as he may be able to change your event date.

Space Required For The Show

The minimum amount of space required to perform the show would be 13ft in length and 11ft across.  If you have hired a hall or have a very large room in your house/venue then Simon can provide his Professional (Backdrop) Theatre Style Staging to make the party/event look extra special.

Unloading

A parking space outside and very close to the venue is required in order for Simon to unload the show from his van.  If adequate parking space is not provided then this may result in Simon not being able to perform, having to leave the event, for which the peformance fee will still need to be paid.

Power Supply

An electrical socket on the side of the room where Simon will be performing is required in order to perform the show. All extension leads and floor tape to secure the wires down are provided by Simon. All equipment supplied by Simon Says Magic is regularly checked and PAT tested.

Set-Up

Simon will arrive around 20/30mins before the performance starts to set up the show unless stated otherwise.

Insurance

For complete peace of mind Simon is fully covered through Equity for full public liability insurance

(£10 million) and has an up to date DBS check. (proof can be provided for both)

Balloons

Please don't waste your breathe blowing up endless balloons for the children to play with prior to the performance as these can become a major distraction once the show starts and can scare younger members of the audience when they unexpectadly burst.  Please note you may be asked to hide them all in a cupboard somewhere till the end of the show if you forget to read this.

However if you have balloons to blow up and hang up around the venue please do so.

Outdoor Shows

Simon does not perform outdoor/garden shows unless discussed with him before booking and that the exact requirements are met to peform the outdoor show, such as a flat surface (not grass), fully enclosed very large marquee (public size) and electrical access in order to use microphones and play music! The entrance way to and from the performance space must not be dirty/muddy under foot as this can ruin/damage clothing and equipment.

If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to contact Simon as he always strives to be as helpful as possible!
